For students who cannot complete the regular application
The regular bursary application relies on automated verification - matching your JAMB registration, confirming enrollment through institutional systems, and validating documents digitally. But not every student's data can be verified this way.
Why Some Students Can't Use The Regular Process
- Student did not register through JAMB (direct entry, transfer students, or institutional admission)
- School fee receipts cannot be digitally validated (no RRR/Remita number or equivalent)
- Student's records are not yet in the institution's digital verification system
- Admission documents don't pass the automated verification checks
How Institutional Partnership Works
To ensure no eligible student of Akwa Ibom origin is left out, the state government works directly with tertiary institutions to bring these students into the bursary system. This is what it means to be a Partner Institution - the institution has an active relationship with the Akwa Ibom State Government to provide verified student data on behalf of students who cannot complete the regular digital verification process.
The government reaches out to public institutions across the state and asks them to submit the academic records of eligible Akwa Ibom indigenes whose data cannot be automatically verified. Once submitted, these students can claim their records through the same process - search, verify, and complete their profile. The goal is inclusiveness: every eligible student at every public institution should be able to access bursary support regardless of their institution's verification infrastructure.
